Grid Project

The piece I created for this project had a special meaning to me, as it is a tattoo I got for my Grandpa when he passed away in 2009.  The red and white rose means unity, and the end of the stem is blood dripping into his initials, PJL.  I tried to represent this using artistic "pom poms."

  1. I really loved the concept of this. It is special to you, and that is what makes it most important. It's something that you have a passion for, and will display as an art piece in your apartment :) The background pastel colors contrast the flower in a great way. I can tell you spent a lot of time glueing each pom pom to the board, there was no glue splotches on the balls either which means you have great craftsmanship. I like how you used different sized pom poms for the flower and on the background. Also the texture adds a great soft quality!
